I never agreed with his politics or where he stood on a spectrum of topics, but here is another instance where I wish I could have had a chance to the meet the man while he was alive.  It is only in his death, I am finding out so much about this guy that makes me think I could be doing so much more with my own life to live up to such a high standard.
Last month, the world was shocked when Tim Russert of Meet The Press fame suddenly …

As most readers have seen, I have added a link to sign up for the RSS feed. Many people I speak to in the real world don’t even know what an RSS feed is, let alone wanting to link to mine. I will have to do an entire post on this as I hope all who have blogs do as well. Of course, all RSS feeds are free and it is merely a information “push” from a blog or a news site as they update with …

Over at the About page is where you will why I finally decided pulled this blog together. There has been a burning desire to write on this topic for quite some time and I was encouraged to go for it.

Over at Chron.com, Craig Yates wrote a very, very interesting review of a Peggy Noonan Wall Street Journal OpEd. I will leave thoughts on politics off this website, but this review REALLY caught my attention. The main reason it grabbed me was the instance where they discussed manliness in the candidates in relation to what these two candidate represent.
Old America (John McCain) vs. New America (Barack Obama) was on trial and it was clear Noonan feels that Old America is the right choice. Ms. Noonan says …

What is a Blog Carnival?
The Art of Manliness runs and operate a really cool carnival called the Manival. If you are new to blog carnivals, it is pretty simple. Blogs submit their best of the week’s blogposts and the person running the carnival picks the best of the submissions for links. All the blogs that submit and all the readers of those blogs will usually see the links as everyone will link to the carnival and to their featured articles.
It is really a great way to get …

Most bloggers read other bloggers and I am not exception. They will do something called a “Weekly Roundup” of all the blog posts they feel added some value. Another good reason (the skeptic inside me tells me it is the foremost reason) is a way to encourage back links to other bloggers for their own blogs.
In any event, I like to read these “Weekly-ies” because in one post, someone has done the homework for me of sorting out the good posts from the bad posts. I also …
